Welcome to the complete solution for enhancing psychiatric interview skills through self-study on the web.
Welcome to Psych Interview. We have a simple aim – to equip you with skills that help you not only to pass your psychiatry exams successfully but also to excel in your clinical practice. You are about to watch and learn the techniques that have helped me get through both the MRCPsych and FRANZCP Exams with ease – and yes, on the first try. These skills continue to help me immensely in my clinical practice and have help me build a thriving private practice at Vita Healthcare.
The interview skills and techniques in Psych Interview have been developed meticulously through several years of exam teaching and clinical practice. They are the result of the collective knowledge of many skilled psychiatrists that I have been fortunate to work with. These skills are now imparted to my fellow psychiatrists through the Psych Scene Exam Prep courses, which continues to deliver great results in psychiatry exam preparation.
Psych Interview is an initiative that has its beginnings from the requests of various psychiatrists that have participated on the Psych Scene courses: “We need more easy-to-access material for rehearsal and self-study.” Delivery of good clinical interview content, body language and gestures can only be learnt and improved by modelling and rehearsal. Unfortunately a book or a two-day course allows inadequate time to focus on each participant’s individual interview practice. There was an obvious requirement for a toolset that combines all of the above and that people can benefit from in their own time. Psych Interview is the perfect solution – a concept that offers knowledge and flexibility in one package.
Psychiatry is a dynamic field, and with that in mind; Psych Interview stays abreast of changes with regular updates. The more you view the videos and practice, the more you get out of them. Psych Interview teaches you not only the fundamentals of psychiatry but also the core part of any successful clinical practice; the psychiatric interview. Ultimately, it helps you pass the psychiatry exams easily and excel in your clinical practice.
So get started now and see for yourself.
